It's good to have friends that think of you when trash and junk are used in a sentence. Tracie commandeered a large quantity of old windows from a friend of hers. Once again, we had seen so many variations for using them as craft projects and couldn't let opportunity skate on by without a little carpe diem action. However, if you ask Tracie, she's going to say another opportunity squandered.....

I really love the green background on this window. It actually matched my kitchen perfectly and that little bird in the corner is so dang cute. I gave this one to Tracie because she seemed to like it the best too. I don't really know if she liked it the best or because there were only two to choose from it was the better one of the two. Here is where squandered opportunities creeps in. When you only produce a couple (because your attention has been captured by something else) it's hard to reap a monetary gain. :).

Even Margarite seemed to choose this one as her favorite. Maybe she initially saw it as a dinner option.

I have this one hanging above my fireplace. I haven't decided what the blue background is just yet. Sometimes I look at it and see white caps, as if I'm looking over the cliff where flowers are blooming and other times I see the sky. That's the nice thing about artsy things, everyone gets to make their own determination.

  1. I like the one you have over your fireplace better than the bird one. It seems to be open to more interpretations. Margarite only liked the green one because she thought she could eat the birdie. :)

I think a painted window would be a great donation to The River for their art sale.
